Junk Celebration!

While in Minneapolis last week I got the chance to go to Hunt and Gather.  Their home page intro includes rRustic to retro, cottage to camp, quirky kitch, folk and cabin style.  What's not to love?!  My SIL found it a bit scary.  Oh well, it gave us a good laugh but she won't be going along on my next visit.

I'm linking to Tamarah of Shabby Vintage Junk and Gina of Junk In My Trunk.  They are celebrating their 100th posts together.  How fun is that?  So get on over to each of their blogs to check out the double give away.  What better way for me to honor them than to show some way cool junk?!

I loved the patches of old linoleum covering the floors.

Oh, why didn't I buy these lovely birds?!

Hmm, do I really need any more of these?

This cabinet's drawers were filled with the original glass boxes.

Nope, couldn't talk Mr. Wonderful into going back and picking these up for above our kitchen island.
They were only PERFECT!

Also, why didn't I get this to make one of those drawer shelves like they had in the Bachman Idea House?
Oh, maybe something to do with not being room in the car.

My SIL wanted me to send her this picture, not sure why.  Ok, this was a little creepy, I'm not on the doll heads and body parts band wagon.

This map cabinet would make the bestest ever coffee table!

Always interested to see how others display their jewelry.

Maybe I should have rotated this map of the Twin Cities, but this is the way I took the picture.  I think this would be really fun in a guys room.

Scary?

I had a couple more pictures of real cool storage pieces but the pictures turn out more blurry than these, sorry you'll miss them, soooo many possibilities.

Who doesn't love plaid?

Ah, sorry, blurry again, but I've been looking and looking for these, finally found some!

He's got that caught in the headlights look!

  7. Thank you so much for this wonderful shopping adventure. I'm itching to get out to shop, but not Christmas shopping...antique shopping is what I want;-) I love that map cabinet, yes, what a great coffee table. Love the keys and the unique necklace display too.
Thanks for sharing, now I really need to get some Christmas shopping started.

  8. Love the storage pieces. But the scary chicken game and the albino squirrel are just--odd. I agree with you on the loose doll parts. I used to fix porcelain dolls for my mom and cousins just so we DIDN'T have parts laying around. LOL I think my fave piece is the birds in a dome. Thanks for sharing!

  11. Hi Susanne, thanks for visiting my little blog :) Its nice to met you.

Your comments made me smile, the santas do look as though they should be having a sing song..hehe

I am lucky in that I am only working part-time, so the workplace low christmas spirit can wash away after only a few days :) The tinsel did make a difference, if only for me. Have a great day, Tamara
