I'm not a 'neat and tidy' type a gal.
Usually on the way to 'neat and tidy' I get distracted by something sparkly.
Or tarnished, rusty, or chipped!
Plus my "create" areas, and craft storage areas, are all over the house.
At any rate, this is as good as I got it for the Where Bloggers Create III Party.
This is my sewing room, located on the second floor of our home.
I recently swapped the location of the day bed and sewing table. This arrangement really opened up the room, making it feel much larger.
It might not look like it but this room has really been cleaned up, it's just not looking all cute with fun and interesting craft storage and displays.
Being a commitment phob, I can't commit to where I want to attach this shelf to the wall. So here it sits.
I finished and posted about these lockers in time for my 1 year Blogiversary, see more where I posted about them here.
They are in the open family room area, just outside the sewing room.
This is the closet in my husband's study where I keep my scrap booking supplies.
Notice I didn't say where I do my scrap booking. That's because lately it's only been where I store the paper supplies I like to buy.
I added boards to the depth of one shelf, to make it into a desk.
It took me a while to find this old step stool chair combo so I could either sit at the desk in the closet or reach the top shelves.
Then there is my desk in the laundry room/pantry where I do my jewelry making.
I recently reorganized this area and posted about it here, if you'd like to see more.
Depending on what I'm doing I might be running between all 3 of these areas, dragging supplies out to the 4' by 10' kitchen island to work on whatever.
So, that's Where this Blogger's Creates! Even if all she's creating is a mess!
Thank you Karen of My Desert Cottage, for hosting this shindig! And thank you for taking the time to visit my mess over here. Have fun checking out all the creative spaces, I know I will.

Good afternoon, Susanne,
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have a lot of space for your goodies. I do like how you have rearranged the furniture in your studio. It does seem spacious.
Thank you so much for sharing your creative space with us. I hope you have time to stop over and visit mine...there is a little giveaway at the end!

Wow, you have a lot of spaces! I like that scrapbooking closet. I also love that you have a sofa in your sewing room! I love to sit with my legs stretched out when I'm, for example, embroidering! I hope you'll be able to come and visit my space, too!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing all your creative spaces. You're more organized than I am, that's for sure. It's no wonder you produce such pretty jewelry, what a nice work surface!! I LOVE that rolling rack!!
ReplyDeleteOMG Suzanne!!! I'm freaking out because in one of your pictures, the one with the wall shelf, you have a white wicker purse sitting on top of it. I HAVE THAT SAME PURSE!!!!! Does it have a red lining inside?? That is just too awesome!! We have SO much in common!! Do you think we were separated at birth ~ LOL????
ReplyDeleteLove all your nooks and crannys filled with your supplies. I did this event year before last but with the recent moves, I won't even know where to begin. Right now I am attempting to unbox/organize/ the guest bedroom/studio. Which I should be doing right now, instead of on Blogger ~ HAHAHAHA!
Toodles~
Love your space. Those lockers are a fantastic idea and I must have one of those step/chairs in my room.. Love it all. Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteI really LOVE those lockers! They came out very nice.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't your husband know that sometimes you have to go where you are creative and that isn't always in your studio? Mine doesn't get it. I just try to keep my messes to a minimum. (note: I said TRY)
SMiles,
Teresa
Starting at the back just like I read magazines. I like how you have taken over several spaces. Creativity is limitless-our space should be too! Absolutely love the beaded bag! Really gorgeous jewelry pieces- xo on the vintage.
ReplyDeleteWell, if everyone is as slow as I am, I was thinking the people at the end wouldn't have many comments, so I got halfway though the A's and decided to startat the bottom, but I see a ot of people had the same idea. Be that as it may, I think you are so organized for all the different things you craft. I kind of craft all over my house too! Thank you for sharing. Love, Linda

ReplyDeleteSusanne, I am so jealous of your mess and would love to have a studio separate from the remainder of my house. I must clean my dinning room after each project. Thanks for admiring my "itty bitty shabby people". Be sure to check back for the post on my "itty bitty" dogs. I am following you and will certainly add you to my list. Hope you do the same.
ReplyDeleteGreat space, and the lockers and the smaller black storage containers by your desk are really neat.
ReplyDeleteI visited you today and truly understand the cycle of creating and reorganizing. It's a constant occupation for us creative ADHD types. Visit me at SHABBY FRIENDS. I have a new blog on Mexican Tourist Pottery.
